In ascending order...
5. Anderson Cooper. I know its totally cliche, since he's like the sexy guy with the great suits (although he's a little scrawny), but he totally does it for me. He seems so worldly and smart (of course he does...he's on TV). But he did a sketch on The Daily Show and he was on Regis and Kelly (which I would NEVER watch...but I saw clips on 360) and he's so god damn charming. I have a feeling if he wasn't a news anchor, he'd be a game show host. And I mean in that in the most flattering way.
4. Ed Henry: Obviously, I watch alot of CNN. And Ed Henry was first the Congressional Correspondent (now the sexy Mike Vequira), then the White House Correspondent and since that got totally boring and lame, he's McCain's campaign liaison to CNN. And even though he's reporting on the biggest douche ever, he does it with such grace and valor, I just want to bring him to thanksgiving dinner and talk about politics.
3. David Gregory: He also started out as a White House Correspondent, but quickly moved up the ranks due to his frequent visits to Meet the Press. He's charismatic and sort of dorky in a effective way, but he really seems to "get it". So much so, MSNBC gave him his own show, which although lacks substance, always has style. I predict he'll replace Tim Russert/Tom Brokaw on Meet The Press. The need some fresh blood.
2. Rob Marciano: He's the weatherman on CNN, but when they're low on staff, they let him sit in the big anchor chair. And my god, he's so GOOD at this I wonder why they keep sending him out in baseball caps and rain slickers in the middle of hurricanes. Maybe that's how he wants it, maybe he's so true to values and so committed to his craft that he says: No, CNN. I don't want to sit and talk about pithy news stories all day -- I want to be in a typhoon!
1. Bill Hemmer: I know, he's the enemy. The traitor left CNN's American Morning years ago for Fox News. But I can't stop totally pining for the guy. He's their "man in the field" in Iraq and he's so intelligent on foreign policy issues. I think the gig he had on CNN was too much fluff -- this is a man of substance. And everything he says sounds like a slice of fried gold to me.

I met Ed Henry and he is a total d-bag. I think he looks like a chipmunk.
I guess this is where we part ways.
Why isn't Channel 7's Eric Smith on there? Now that's a silver fox.
What?!! No Brian Williams? No Tom Brokaw? No Jon Stewart? I guess that leaves 'em for me. =)
