Prayin' for Rain

Focus on the Family Action has pulled a video from its Web site that had asked people to pray for "rain of biblical proportions" during Sen. Barack Obama's acceptance speech at Invesco Field on Aug. 28.

The political arm of Focus on the Family pulled the video Monday after a number of complaints from Focus members.

Stuart Shepard, the director of digital media for the group, wrote and starred in the video that he described as "mildly humorous."

In the video, Shepard called for Christians to pray for "abundant, torrential" rains during the Democratic nominee's acceptance speech in order to disrupt it. He had asked Christians to pray for rain that would create flash flood warnings and "swamp the intersections."
In the video, Shepard said he hoped the rain would start "two minutes before the acceptance speech begins."

"I'm still pro life, and I'm still in favor of marriage as being between one man and one woman," Shepard said in his video. "And I would like the next president who will select justices for the next Supreme Court to agree."

In addition, this CRAZY Christian Conservative Evangelical Jerry-Falwell wannabe organization's leader also said:

"In the 32-year history of Focus on the Family, we have offered prayer, counseling and resource assistance to tens of thousands of parents and children in the same situation the Palins are now facing. We have always encouraged the parents to love and support their children and always advised the girls to see their pregnancies through, even though there will of course be challenges along the way. That is what the Palins are doing, and they should be commended once again for not just talking about their pro-life and pro-family values, but living them out even in the midst of trying circumstances."

Because, in case you were wondering, those politicans who are pro-choice are having abortions left and right. That's correct: if you support a woman's right to choose, then you automatically abort any pregnancy lickity-split. I mean, that's how we do things as Democrats. I'm amazed that our party has survived this long, since we keep aborting fetuses. In 20 years, I guess we'll just have Republicans left.
